Where the Gospel goes, we go.
River of Life Revival Ministries serves across four spheres of influence — local, national, regional and global — equipping leaders, teaching the Gospel truth and raising up disciple-makers who will carry the mission forward.
The heart behind our work.
The Gospel moves outward — but it begins right where you are.
Our calling is rooted in the Great Commission — to go and make disciples of all nations. But before we go to the ends of the earth, we start at home.
At River of Life, we teach that ministry begins in your own neighborhood and extends outward. This is what we call the Four Spheres of Gospel Influence — four intentional areas where God calls us to serve, lead and multiply the Gospel.
This pattern reflects the model in Acts 1:8, where Jesus told His disciples to be His witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. Ministry starts where you are, with a heart ready to go wherever God leads. Every sphere matters — and every believer has a part to play.
#1 LocalOur Home Sphere
Ministry starts with your own neighbors.
From food pantries to Bible schools, from local and national disaster relief to community outreach, we serve faithfully in and from the areas we call home — Nashville, TN and Chicago, IL — our two U.S. ministry bases.

What we do at home
Bible School Leadership
In both cities, River of Life helps run active Bible school programs through local churches, raising up leaders who serve locally and abroad.
Church Involvement
Mark and Lois are active members of Joy Church in Mt. Juliet, TN, where they serve in food pantry outreach, prayer ministry, and media support. They remain connected to a strong local church because, as Mark says, “even a pastor needs a pastor.”
Community Relief & Outreach
Whether it’s filling carts of supplies for disaster response or praying with someone at a food pantry, Mark and Lois serve their community with humility and Gospel love. Their work includes emergency aid, food distribution, and relational evangelism — always pointing people back to Christ.
River of Life believes the local Church is the hope of the world — and it begins with us, living out the Gospel in our own communities.

#2 NationalThe United States
Strengthening the Church — from coast to coast.
We work with Hispanic congregations across the U.S., helping plant Bible schools, equip pastors and encourage American churches to catch a vision for the nations — and for their own neighborhoods.

What we do in the U.S.
Bible School Development
We’ve helped establish multiple Bible schools across the country — in California, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Nevada, Tennessee, Wisconsin and Puerto Rico — often with multiple locations per state. These schools are tailored to fit the needs, language and structure of the local church, empowering them to disciple their own members with sound doctrine and practical equipping.
Church Partnerships & Teaching
Mark preaches regularly in churches across the nation — both Hispanic and English-speaking congregations — to stir hearts for missions and disciple-making. Whether it’s launching a new Bible school, guest speaking at a conference or training leadership teams, River of Life provides hands-on partnership to help churches grow strong and rooted in the Word.
Mentoring & Mission Mobilization
We equip churches to send — raising up local teams and individuals who feel called to reach their own communities or serve internationally. Many of the leaders we’ve trained now lead mission trips and disciple others in their own congregations.
Hispanic evangelical churches are among the fastest-growing in the nation — yet many of their leaders lack access to training and discipleship materials in their own language.

#3 RegionalLatin America
Where the work began — and where it still thrives.
Since 1975 — and since River of Life Revival Ministries started in 1998 — Mark & Lois have served communities across Latin America. In Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, Peru and Brazil, we train pastors, launch Bible schools, lead mission teams and disciple believers through long-term, relational partnerships.
We don’t just preach and leave — we return, build and walk alongside those we serve.

What we do in Latin America
Bible School Development
Church-based and community-based training centers equip pastors, Christian workers and lay leaders — many of whom have never received any formal theological training. Some gather in churches. Others sit under trees on blankets, folding chairs or concrete steps. Wherever people are hungry to learn, we teach.
Pastor Mentorship & Leadership Training
Mark mentors pastors in remote and urban areas alike — encouraging them, resourcing them with study materials and Bibles, and walking with them as they disciple their churches.
Medical & Dental Missions
Partnering with trusted ministries (especially in Honduras), we help facilitate short-term medical and dental outreach trips, often in places where there is no consistent access to care. These teams serve with long-term consistency — returning regularly to meet practical needs and build lasting relationships.
Children’s Ministry
We work with local schools and churches to disciple kids and raise up the next generation. These children bring the Gospel home to their families and live it out among their friends.
Mission Teams
We coordinate and lead mission teams that serve in construction, evangelism, children’s ministry and disaster response. These teams help build and repair homes, construct churches and serve entire communities in practical ways — always with the Gospel at the center of it all.
Practical Care Outreach
In many regions, we set up stations for haircuts, grooming, clothing distribution and food relief — tangible acts of love that open doors for Gospel conversations and reflect the care of Christ.
Many pastors and church leaders in Latin America serve without any theological training. In rural areas especially, access to education and discipleship resources is limited.

#4 GlobalAsia
Where the work began — and where it still thrives.
From the 1980s until the pandemic, Mark traveled regularly to 11 nations in Asia, often covertly, risking his life to preach the Gospel, train leaders and launch Bible schools — many of which are still active today.
In regions where Christian evangelism is restricted or persecuted, Mark ministered behind closed doors, inside homes, underground churches and hidden meeting places. From China to Indonesia to Mongolia and beyond, his presence was never without risk — and yet the Gospel continued to advance.
COVID may have closed the travel doors, but the mission to spread the Gospel will never stop.

What we do in Asia today
Continued Financial Support
River of Life continues to fund trusted local leaders and ministries in Asia, many of whom Mark trained personally.
Ongoing Communication
Mark remains in contact with many of the workers he discipled, offering prayer, mentorship, encouragement and spiritual covering from afar.
Vision for Future Return
We remain open and ready to return when the doors reopen. Until then, we invest in those who can go — and we continue to pray fervently for this vital mission field.
In places like China, Myanmar, North Korea and parts of Indonesia, Christians face persecution, imprisonment or worse simply for following Jesus.
