Teaching the Gospel that multiplies.
Since 1998, River of Life Ministries has been equipping Hispanic pastors and Christian leaders to reach their communities with the Gospel.
Founded by veteran missionaries Mark and Lois Simpson, River of Life Ministries began with a vision to meet a pressing need in Latin America: pastors full of passion but lacking access to sound theological training. Over the years, that mission has grown — reaching Hispanic congregations across the U.S., strengthening local churches at home and supporting Gospel work in some of the most unreached regions of Asia.
At the heart of it all is one driving goal: to raise up faithful disciple-makers who will carry the Gospel wherever God sends them — teaching truth, building others up and multiplying the mission through every life they touch.

Our Vision
Our vision is aligned with God’s eternal vision.
We look forward to the day when we see a great multitude from every nation, tribe, people and language standing before the throne of God in worship.
(Revelation 7:9)
Our Mission
Our mission is the Great Commission.
We strengthen churches, equip leaders and raise up disciple-makers across four spheres of ministry: Latin America, the United States, our local communities in Nashville and Chicago and unreached regions of Asia. Grounded in the Word of God and fueled by the Spirit of revival, we teach the Gospel with clarity and conviction so it can take root and multiply through the lives of others.
Meet Our Founders
More than 50 years of faith, marriage & Gospel ministry.
Mark and Lois Simpson began serving in Latin America just after they were married in 1975. Since then, they’ve ministered across nations and generations — always with a heart to teach, train and disciple. In 1998, River of Life Ministries was born — today Mark and Lois continue to lead from their home in the Nashville suburb Lebanon, TN, serving Hispanic churches, raising up leaders and supporting Gospel partners around the world.

Where We Serve
Our mission moves through four spheres of Gospel influence — stretching from our own neighborhoods to the nations.

Nashville & Chicago
Discipleship starts at home.
Our ministry operates from two U.S. hubs: Lebanon, TN (Nashville suburb) and Plainfield, IL (Chicago suburb). Mark Simpson oversees our Nashville-based ministry and national outreach, while Andrew Boyer, our vice president and ministry administrator, leads operations in Chicago. From local Bible schools to food pantry outreach in our home church, we serve faithfully in the cities where God has placed us.

Latin America
Our longest-standing mission field.
From Mexico, Guatemala and Honduras to Nicaragua, Peru and Brazil, we train pastors, launch Bible schools and disciple believers through trusted church partnerships. These efforts are deeply relational — we return often, investing long-term and helping churches impact in their own communities. The work is ongoing, and the need for training, discipleship and leadership support continues to grow.

United States
Serving Hispanic churches nationwide.
From coast to coast we partner with local Hispanic churches to help establish Bible schools and mentor church leaders in culturally and linguistically relevant ways. We serve where seminaries and formal Biblical education are out of reach, ensuring pastors and churches have the tools to make disciples who stand firm in truth.

Asia
Reaching the unreached.
Asia remains home to some of the world’s most unreached people groups. While travel stopped during COVID, our commitment never wavered. We continue to support our co-laborers reaching minority groups across China, Mongolia, Myanmar, Indonesia and beyond. These partners serve where access is limited. We continue to stand with them through prayer, funding and mission support.
